A CELEBRATION OF PARKOUR, FASHION, DJ'S, ARTISTS, AND SOUNDSYSTEMS.
The STREETMEDIA SOCIAL v1 was our very first event consisting of a Parkour gathering, informal competition, independent brand expo day, and afterparty with carefully selected DJ's and a huge soundsystem.
The SOCIAL had been planned carefully since back in winter of 2022. We brought together all the team to discuss ideas and bring in our combined resources to make the event the best it could be.
For our first ever event, we wanted to have a heavy emphasis on the creative talents within our circle whether it be through fashion design, music production, DJ'ing, artistry, or whatever small business that they may be running. We wanted to showcase all the amazing creations, products or services that our people are providing. We truly feel that these creators, businesses, or artists deserve all the support and recognition they deserve.

PARIAH CLAN
Pariah Clan is a brand created 2-3 years ago by Jai Battrick in Brighton, UK.
They have created well known products such as the "skull" tee. Jai draws inspiration from his past, Parkour, and martial arts practise, as well as arts and texts that he feels helps with his mental health.
"Although Pariah seems dark, the idea behind it is to find beauty and inspiration in the dark recesses of our life and minds... we wont enjoy happiness if we don't have hardship before." - Jai

FIFTHUNIT
Fifthunit is a Parkour brand created by a lovely bunch of southern boys. The group first started in Dorking, before moving out to Brighton and Bristol areas.
Fifthunit have been in the game since 2012, with their first product being the classic box logo tee. As time moved on, fifthunit have created timeless products such as the 'Dead Tech' hoodie, as well as multiple video projects. Keep an eye out for their upcoming releases

MEL
Mel is a graffiti and graphic artist based in Bilbao, Spain.
Her unique style has earned her much attention in the graffiti scene, using popping colours, kawaii themes and incredible typography.

STORROR
Storror need no introduction...
Active since 2010, these boys swiftly established themselves as the high kings of youtube content and forward thinking parkour clothing. They truly are the leading brand for Parkour as an industry.
Storror have recently brought on three new people to the brand: Kelan Ryan, Giles Longley and David Bloggy.
These three combine their knowledge on how to run a clothing brand to further grow Storror and carry it into the future.
MURU
A last minute entry into the independent brand pop up day! This artist comes from Finland and wanted to experience the SM social, so she came through with a load of very unique, hand crafted graphics, as well as hand sewn tees featuring her trademark designs. Her instagram can be found here
KITCHEN BY ISAAC
Of course, we need good food for an event like this! So we hit up Isaac Harwood, Noah's younger brother who happens to be a full time chef and has excellent taste. Isaac created a street food style dirty fries, with vegan chilli as the most popular option.
MELLOW MAC FT. BATFUNK
An experienced hip hop DJ and a good friend of the circle is exactly what we needed for the first set of the night during the afterparty. Bringing some perfect vibes to train to, before eventually coming up close to the booth as Alex (Mac) brought on a guest appearance, the MC Batfunk, who started spitting bars up on the roof alongside Alex's beats. EARWIGJOE
Our resident DJ, old school STREETMEDIA boy, our king of content, cameras, and cars, Joe O'Brien was up next. His set was second, and he brought some fire to the decks. Playing a range of bass music, with some tunes that were classic to the Parkour scene especially from our own areas of Derby and Nottingham. Check out Joe's stuff here
ARTHUR FRANKS
Arthur is a well established DJ as well as a highly skilled and prolific Parkour athlete. Arthur specialises in a range of soulful, jazzy classic as well as UK garage and funk, which was a perfect finish to the afterparty as the final set of the night. We knew from the beginning that we wanted Arthur on board for the select DJ's, after seeing him perform previously at the Storror big wall open event back in 2022. Check out Arthurs instagram here
We are really lucky to have so many talented friends within the Parkour community who helped us in many steps along the way to making the SOCIAL a reality. The talent ranged from video production, to supplying equipment, supplying the space, DJ'ing and more. There is so much incredible talent and ability within our circle of friends in the UK Parkour scene, we are truly blessed to have received the support and help that we did for this event.
